The Garrett Gilbert era is officially underway in Austin, Texas. The rising sophomore was thrown into the fire as a true freshman during the 2010 BCS National Championship game against Alabama after Texas starting QB Colt McCoy left the game in the first quarter with an injury. Florida International University running back Kendall Berry was stabbed to death last night on FIU’s University Park (Modesto Maidique campus). Witnesses say that Berry and an unnamed man were arguing in front of the school’s recreational facility before Berry was stabbed.
