Injury bug hits Texas Tech QBs

When Texas Tech’s Taylor Potts went down and suffered a concussion, the Red Raider faithful weren’t sure what they were going to get when QB Steven Sheffield stepped in under center. Sheffield, a walk-on QB, has done nothing but impress all his doubters by throwing for 724 yards and 8 TDs in the past two weeks against Kansas State and Nebraska. Unfortunately, Texas Tech may have to dig deeper in the roster and turn to redshirt freshman Seth Doege....

Texas A&M’s Holland to miss another Season

Texas A&M  will be down a WR this season.  WR Roger Holland (Jr. 5’10, 175 lbs.), from Houston, Texas, will miss his second straight season due to the lingering effects of multiple concussions he suffered during his college career. Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman announced today that “we’re not going to play with him.”  “We’re going to sit him down and see how he does a year from now.” His status will be reevaluated in 2010.

“The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You” were found scrawled on athletic tape attached to the carpet in Texas A&M’s Bright Football Complex Tuesday morning. The message found written on the tape is a lyric from A&M’s rival Texas’s fight song.   The facilities were burglarized and some football equipment was reported stolen. As of now, no suspects have been named but an investigation is still being conducted. The incident is sure to provide locker room fodder for the Aggies when...
