Memphis is accepting resumes

In the wake of Memphis’ Tommy West’s departure, potential head coach replacements have already been named in Tommy Tuberville and Terry Bowden. Tuberville and Bowden are the front-runners for the position. Tuberville’s resume includes the former head coaching job at Auburn. Meanwhile, Bowden is the current coach at Div. II North Alabama. Others being considered are Auburn’s offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, LSU’s assistant Larry Porter, and Florida’s defensive coordinator Charlie Strong. Unfortunately, The Matador is not under consideration.

FSU’s Board of Trustees chair Jim Smith openly called for the end of the Bowden Era. This comment has infuriated Seminole fans throughout the nation and now former players are starting to lash out. In an attempt to better rest his players and to have more control over his team, North Alabama Coach Terry Bowden is requiring his entire team to be seated during the game. If you noticed during last week’s home opener, every player on the sideline was seated. The players are not only required to sit, but they actually have to sit in their assigned seats. In an effort to catch Joe Paterno and claim title to the winningest coach in D-1 college football history, sources have revealed that Florida State’s Bobby Bowden does not plan on retiring at the end of this season.
