QB Aaron Corp’s future continues to be filled with uncertainty. The once named starter for SC back in 2009, transferred to Richmond during the off-season after being dethroned by current Trojan QB Matt Barkley. In 2010, Corp joined FCS Richmond and first-year coach Latrell Scott with the hopes of rebuilding a Spiders program that lost several key players from last year’s stellar 11-2 squad. In the college world, when you hear or see “SC,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? South Carolina, right? Wrong. The University of South Carolina has been in a trademark duel with the University of Southern California regarding its similar interlocking “SC” design and logo. Things were hotter than usual in Columbia, SC this weekend which resulted in the suspension of SC defensive end Clifton Geathers. Gathers was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public drunkeness. It’s unclear how much time Geathers will miss but SC will need to have him back on the field soon if they hope to compete in the SEC. Gamecock coach Steve Spurrier
