Maryland has Money to Burn

Maryland’s move to the Big 10 is starting to payoff.  Not only is Maryland going to make millions more in conference sharing, the Big 10 is giving the Terrapins between $20 – $30 million extra in travel subsidies.  To put in perspective, as an ACC member, Maryland budgeted roughly $3 million for team travel.  When the 2014-15 season commences, the university will have a projected $6 million for travel.  With Maryland in the Big 10, the conference’s footprint extends...

Maryland Terrapins Lose Another Signal Caller

The Maryland Terrapins just lost sophomore quarterback Devin Burns who announced his withdrawal from the school and his expectation of transferring to another program.  As of late, the QB position has been suspect for Maryland with the Terrapins losing five signal callers in 2012, four to injuries and one, QB Danny O’Brien, to transfer.  However, in 2013 Maryland will be deep at quarterback with stiff competition.  It is likely Burns’ withdrawal is a result of him presumably not going...

Maryland fans went from elation, with the signing of five-star recruit Stefon Diggs, to dejection, with QB Danny O’Brien and two other players announcing their intentions of transferring from the program.
