Auburn’s Three-Headed Rushing Attack

Although Cam Newton is the face of Auburn football, the Tigers boast a punishing three-headed rushing attack that has left defensive coordinators struggling to find ways to slow it down this season. However, what they’ve learned in the process is that you cannot stop it; you can only hope to try to find ways of containing it. Michael Dyer, Onterio McCalebb, and Mario Fannin are averaging over 5 yards per carry this season and have been instrumental in...

Redemption comes for Auburn’s Newton

After his arrest in Gainesville, FL, in November 2008 on charges in connection with a stolen laptop, Cam Newton’s career as a Division 1 athlete seemed to come to an end. As the legal system played its course, it was learned that Newton had indeed purchased the laptop from a seller he believed was legitimate. However, with his name and reputation tarnished, Newton and his family decided it best to part ways with the University of Florida and transfer from the school. Breaking News: Mark Ingram injured

Nick Saban’s worst nightmare came true yesterday when Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram went down injuring his left knee during yesterday’s practice. The tailback’s injury was so severe he immediately underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery performed by Dr. Lyle Cain and Dr. James Andrews (presumably both Crimson Tide fans). The tailback is listed as day-to-day but he will certainly miss Bama’s home opener this Saturday against San Jose State. It is still undecided if Ingram will suit up for the...

Evan Royster: PSU’s dark horse Heisman candidate

Penn State’s Evan Royster passed up on the NFL draft to play one more season under legendary coach Joe Paterno. The senior tailback returns to the Nittany Lions as the most dangerous weapon on offense. As the senior leader puts on the pads one final time, he has a legitimate shot...
