Mark Ingram: SEC Male Athlete of the Year

RB Mark Ingram's (#22) 2009 stellar season landed him the Heisman Trohpy and the SEC Male Athlete of the Year award

Alabama’s Mark Ingram has more hardware to display in his already growing trophy case. Today, Ingram was named the 2009 Southeastern Conference’s Roy F. Kramer Male Athlete of the Year for last season’s remarkable individual performance and national championship run.  During the 2009 season, sophomore Mark Ingram set Alabama’s single season rushing mark amassing 1,658 yards while becoming the first Crimson Tide ever to win the Heisman Trophy. He was also a unanimous first team All-American and the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year.

Joining Mark Ingram was LSU’s freshman phenom Susan Jackson who was named the Female Athlete of the Year as she was the first LSU gymnast to win the NCAA all-around title. She also took home top honors in the balance beam.

Congratulations to both Mark Ingram and Susan Jackson for their exceptional athletic ability and accomplishments.
