Addazio to Temple, a good fit?

Florida OC Steve Addazio was successful at Florida, but can he replicate his offensive ingenuity as a head coach at Temple? Temple made a bold move with the hiring of Steve Addazio, but is he the right man for the job? There is no question that Addazio has good pedigree and brings unparalleled coaching experience to Temple; however, Temple fans better be patient, because it’s a lot easier to accomplish great things when you are backed by a school rich in...

Kevin Wilson: Indiana’s new $8 million dollar man

Kevin Wilson became Indiana’s new $8 million dollar man by inking a seven-year $8.4 million dollar deal with the hopes of restoring an Indiana Hoosiers team that is arguably the worst team in the Big X. Wilson is an offensive mastermind who brings to the table a spread open offense that was highly productive during his years at Oklahoma. Under his 9 year tenure with Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops, Wilson produced 3 of the most productive offenses in college football...

5 star recruit Jerimy Finch has decided to leave another D-1 program. The heralded recruit from Indiana first headed to Florida, after decommitting from Michigan and Indiana. As a Gator, Finch played outside linebacker but suffered a terrible knee injury after an interception in the Tennessee game. The injury sidelined Finch for the rest of the 2007 season. The injury certainly had a lasting effect as his grades declined and his morale with it. After playing one season with...

Gillette Stadium to host UMass v. UNH

A common trend in college football is to schedule neutral site games to generate income and to expand each school’s exposure. Notre Dame is scheduled to play at Cowboys Stadium and Yankee Stadium in the coming seasons. FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, will host Virginia Tech v. Boise State and Indiana v. Penn State in 2010. It now looks like the football championship subdivision wants to cash in on the action. UMass and UNH have just penned...

Zook turning to third string QB Charest

Things are looking a bit grim in Champaign for Ron Zook’s squad. The Illini have hit an all time low with a paltry 1-5 record and 0-4 in conference play. Zook is doing all he can to bring about some change to the team and spark a little fire. He has already benched QB Juice Williams for back-up Eddie McGee, but this move failed miserably as of late as evidenced in Illinois’ loss to Indiana 27-14 this past Saturday....

May the Forcier be with you

Tate Forcier’s heroic efforts in Saturday’s comeback win against Indiana provided much needed relief to a Wolverine team clawing its way back to the promised land. Unfortunately, during the win, Forcier appeared to have injured his right shoulder after taking a days worth of beatings.  During the 4th quarter, he was in obvious pain when throwing the ball and he was constantly favoring his shoulder. It also did not help that his teammates incidentally were making it worse. Coach Rodriguez is limiting Forcier this week in...

Security Alert at the Big House

In response to increased terror alerts on the eve of the G20 summit, The Big House is beefing up its security for this Saturday’s Big 10 opener against Indiana. From a fans perspective, an immediate notice will be that no purses or other bags will be permitted into the stadium unless you fall into one of the exemptions such as medical reasons. There will also be more police presence throughout the campus and the stadium. Though no specific threats...

JoePa’s Coming to D.C.

Penn St. and Indiana University have agreed to play a conference game in the Nation’s Capitol next season. The two will face off in a Big Ten contest at Washington’s FedEx Field on November 20th, 2010. The original game was to be played at Indiana but a nice 3 million dollar payout was enough to change IU’s mind. The game is sure to attract a number of Penn St. fans as many alumni live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Penn St. has quite a...
