Purdue’s Danny Hope was given a one-year contract extension that will keep him in West Lafayette through 2014. Hope was named Purdue’s head coach last summer when Joe Tiller decided to retire. Even though Hope went 5-7 in his first season as head coach, the Boilermaker community is optimistic about his future. Purdue’s Ralph Bolden suffered an ACL tear in his right knee according to team officials and will undergo surgery to repair the damage. Bolden first suffered the injury during Purdue’s March 31st practice, but the team didn’t announce the severity of the injury until yesterday.
