Pitt’s Sheard goes MMA, suspended indefinitely

Pittsburgh’s Jabaal Sheard took out whatever frustrations he had built up on Edward Parker this past weekend.  As Sheard and Parker were jawing at each other Saturday night on East Carson Street in front of LaFond Gallery, something set the two off and the brawl began. The DE and top pass rusher threw Parker into a storefront window and proceeded to beat the living crap out of him. When Parker fell to the ground defenseless, Sheard continued to throw the...

This is the fourth player in as many days to defect from USC because of the heavy sanctions levied against the team. This isn’t a significant blow for the team as Carswell was very limited in production last...

A rare earthquake struck the D.C metro area earlier this morning, but that didn’t keep TheMatadorSports from providing you with all your Friday afternoon links to help get you through the rest of the day. After years of debate and drunken arguments, this picture is very telling and should put to rest the Miami v. Ohio State controversial interference call. Troubled (using the term lightly) QB  Jeremiah Masoli is now considering transferring to Hawaii. I say go for it, the mainland could use a...

Big Ten should say “NO” to Lambeau

Big Ten should say “NO” to Lambeau

In the wake of Nebraska joining the Big 10 after this season, several venues have shown interest in hosting the Big 10 championship game (assuming the conference agrees to have one). Initially, Indianapolis and Detroit, both indoor stadiums, were considered front-runners but now other venues want to be in the mix. Recently, Chicago’s Soldier Field and Cleveland Brown’s Stadium submitted their names for consideration. To continue the theme of outdoor venues, Green Bay’s Lambeau Field just announced its intentions of...
