Marshall defensive back DeQuan Bembry has been dismissed from the football team following his fourth arrest since March of last year. His most recent run in with the law occurred this past Sunday when police arrested and charged him with DUI. Bembry along with T.J. Drakeford was also arrested on April 5th after an altercation at a Huntington, WV bar. Bembry was charged with assault on a police officer and underage consumption. He was serving a suspension for the April incident.
It’s no shock that Marshall had to part ways with Bembry after his latest and greatest incident. Unfortunately, Marshall will miss his presence in the defensive backfield as he led the team in interceptions (3) last season and contributed heavily to their 2009 Little Caesar’s Bowl victory against Ohio.
