It seems as if Army and the Yankees are starting a new trend. ESPN reports that talks are underway between Northwestern and Illinois that would move their yearly game to Chicago’s Wrigley Field as early as next season. Another Big 10 coach signs an extention. As reported early in the week, the extension was anticiated and today, it finally came to fruition. Illinios and Zook agree to a one year extension coming off of his subpar 5-7 mark last season. The contract extension runs through the 2013 season. Illinois is contemplating on whether or not to extend Ron Zook’s contract for an additional year (Zook has a 19-30 record at Illinois). This would leave Zook at the healm through 2014. The president of the University, Joseph White, has recommended the approval of the extension. The board of trustees, who meet next Thursday, will likely follow White’s recommendation and approve the extension. If approved, this will be Zook’s second extension.
