Throw me the ball

Throw me the ball

No one is safe under the arms of Touchdown Jesus. Just ask STP legend and huge Notre Dame fan Scott Weiland. The Matador has not confirmed, but sources do reveal that Weiland, who is also an avid partier, could not handle tailgating with throwing the pigskin. Apparently, one of his “buddies” threw a rocket aimed directly at Weiland’s face during...

At first, The Matador thought this rule was bizarre, but in retrospect it actually makes...

Iowa State’s back-up TE Kurt Hammerschmidt (rFr. 6’5, 236 lbs.) might have been celebrating too much after the teams 34-17 victory over North Dakota State. On early Monday morning, Hammerschmidt was arrested by university police around 2:00 a.m. for drinking and driving. AD spokesman Tom Kroeschell confirmed the arrest and coach Paul Rhoads issued a statement announcing his indefinite suspension. For you Cyclones loyalists, don’t be too concerned, as Hammerschmidt had zero catches in the season opener and was...
