Sure hands Mike Williams calls it quits
This just in, Syracuse’s WR Mike Williams has quit the team. Throughout his roller coaster career at Syracuse, he has always been the Orange’s #1 receiver with sure hands. After missing last season because of academic reasons, he returned this season in true form. Before he quit the team, he was the leading receiver (even with a game suspension) with 49 receptions for 746 yards and six touchdowns.
The Orange are already in an offensive slump and with the absence of Williams, Greg Paulus, who is in hot water, will have one less target to aim for. When asked about Williams departure, head coach Doug Marrone responded with, “you will have to ask him.”
