After suffering an early shoulder injury on opening day against BYU, Sam Bradford suffered the same injury in the Red River Rivalry game at the hands of Texas’ Aaron Williams. The Heisman Trophy winner went down after a hard, but clean, hit by Williams. After the sack, Bradford, who was in obvious pain, did not see the field again.
After an MRI and x-ray of his right shoulder this past Sunday, the results indicated that he aggravated his right shoulder injury–his throwing shoulder. This is good news for Bradford, in the sense that it’s not a new injury or a more severe injury. With that being said, the bad news, his playing days at Oklahoma are questionable.
Stoops did not comment on whether Bradford is finished for good, but he did state he will provide further information on Bradford’s status later this week.
