The University of Maryland is feeling the constraints of the economy and is taking several steps to try and stay afloat. The Maryland athletic department recently decided to cut $301K from their football budget. This comes at a time when numerous schools such as Virgina Tech and Miami have taken the same route with the hopes of cutting their costs. First to go for the Terrapin football team will be round-trip charted flights to Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest this fall.
