‘Cuse’s offense doesn’t exist, how long will Paulus?

It’s not looking good for Syracuse fans midway through the season. The Orange are 2-4 and 0-2 in conference play. The offense is struggling and most notably the team cannot convert on third down. The QB play is also questionable as Greg Paulus has thrown 6 INTs in the past 2 games. Most recently against the Mountaineers, Paulus played so poorly that he was benched in the second half of the 34-13 defeat. Nevertheless, coach Doug Marrone has confidence in his...

LB Lee is a go

Good news coming out of State College, PA. LB Sean Lee is expected to play this weekend against Michigan despite recent knee injuries. As of late, he has been nursing a left knee sprain, but he participated in practice this week and he is ready to make some big plays in the Big House come Saturday. Last week against Minnesota, Lee had a limited role in Penn State’s 20-0 win. He was primarily used for passing downs, but this weekend...

QB’s father speaks out

Maryland is 2-5 and the Terrapins’ fansjust about had enough. Once fan in particular is criticizing the team and is hitting the internet hard spreading his “love” of AD Debbie Yow. Now for fans to gripe and call for the firing of certain individuals, it’s quite normal. But when the fan is the father of Maryland’s starting QB Chris Turner, then you’ve just created an uncomfortable embattlement for your son. Here is what pop’s had to say: “Get rid of Yow,”...

Zook turning to third string QB Charest

Things are looking a bit grim in Champaign for Ron Zook’s squad. The Illini have hit an all time low with a paltry 1-5 record and 0-4 in conference play. Zook is doing all he can to bring about some change to the team and spark a little fire. He has already benched QB Juice Williams for back-up Eddie McGee, but this move failed miserably as of late as evidenced in Illinois’ loss to Indiana 27-14 this past Saturday....

If you mock those who pray, you pay

The Golden Gophers mascot is an idiot. Watch him mock PSU’s Jerome Hayes as he prays pre-game. Then afterwards, the mascot fist bumps a Gopher cheerleader in hopes to pump-up the the fan faithful. I guess God was watching and wasn’t pleased, Penn State blanketed the Golden Gophers 20-0.

Berry celebrates the #23 ranking a little too much

This Saturday against a devestated UConn team, West Virginia may have to uphold its #23 ranking in the BCS without starting defensive tackle Scooter Berry. Apparently, Berry was out partying the night away at a Morgantown nightclub late Saturday night. Unfortunately, the party, at least for Berry, found its way onto the streets. As a result, the young lineman was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Coach Bill Stewart is well aware of the situation, however, he...

A chip off the old block

Stillwater is in the running to get the son of a legend. Barry Sanders, Jr. is only a sophomore in high school, but he is already showing signs of his father’s athletic football skills. Barry Sanders is recruiting his son hard to consider Oklahoma State. He takes his son to most of the home games and the little lad seems to be enjoying the pageantry surrounding the program. For Oklahoma State to land this potentially great back, would be...

Bradford aggravates right shoulder injury

After suffering an early shoulder injury on opening day against BYU, Sam Bradford suffered the same injury in the Red River Rivalry game at the hands of Texas’ Aaron Williams. The Heisman Trophy winner went down after a hard, but clean, hit by Williams. After the sack, Bradford, who was in obvious pain, did not see the field again. After an MRI and x-ray of his right shoulder this past Sunday, the results indicated that he aggravated his right shoulder injury–his throwing shoulder. This is good...
