Turner, father, both frustrated. Terps are a terrible 2-5
Maryland is 2-5 and the Terrapins’ fansjust about had enough. Once fan in particular is criticizing the team and is hitting the internet hard spreading his “love” of AD Debbie Yow.
Now for fans to gripe and call for the firing of certain individuals, it’s quite normal. But when the fan is the father of Maryland’s starting QB Chris Turner, then you’ve just created an uncomfortable embattlement for your son.
Here is what pop’s had to say:
“Get rid of Yow,” the post read. “And you might have a chance on being decent in football and basketball. Shes [sic] the absolute worst and will destroy your program! TRUST ME!”
The Matador appreciates father’s looking out for their sons, but this type of action only creates more animosity between the school and the player. Mr. Turner, there are probably better ways to achieve your goals to get your message across.
Maryland faces Duke this Saturday. If Maryland falls, you will certainly see more fans jumping on Turner’s bandwagon.
