RIP Northeastern Huskies Football

For the Northeastern University fan faithful, it’s hard to say this, but the school is dropping its football program citing financial difficulties. After 74 years of gridiron battle, the bean counters cannot justify running the program as its just too expensive and there is not enough return on its investment. The Huskies just concluded a 3-8 season with a thrilling final victory over the Rhode Island Rams this past weekend. Unfortunately for the Huskies, this was their 6th consecutive losing season....

Some sad news out of the University of Georgia, Uga VII, “Loran’s Best,” has passed away today as a result of a heart attack. He had the shortest tenure of any of the Uga family, but he did compile a winning record of 16-7. He made his debut on August 30, 2008 during the Georgia Southern game.
