Evan Royster will control the ground game and lead the Lions to victory

This has been a rough season for The Matador going 5-5 on his weekly picks. It’s going to change as we inch closer to the regular season’s end.

The lock of the week is Penn State (-3) over Michigan State. Penn State has all the drive in the world to win this game big. The Nittany Lions undeservedly have the opportunity to get a BCS at-large bid with a victory. Since Ohio State locked up the Rose Bowl, two Big Ten teams (the other being Iowa) will be gunning for that one possible BCS bid. PSU knows it has a better shot even though the team lost head-to-head to Iowa. PSU’s fans travel better and spend more money, that’s what the BCS likes to see in this economy.

Meanwhile, Michigan State is already bowl eligible at 6-5. A win would be great, but it really wouldn’t change much as to which bowl they will travel to.

There is a ton of drive for JoePa to win and win big. Watch Daryll Clark expose the Spartan’s secondary opening up big lanes for Royster to rumble into the end-zone. This will be a blow-out–just like last year. Put your money on the Nittany Lions.
