Doe & Jenkins LLC

In a highly anticipated match-up this weekend (hahahaha), Florida’s Urban Meyer has listed LB Dustin Doe and CB Janoris Jenkins as eligible to play in Saturday’s game against Troy. As you recall, Doe (arrested for driving on a suspended license) and Jenkins (resisting arrest) both sat out during the home opener due to off-the-field incidents. The outcome of this game won’t be much different with or without Doe and Jenkins, but both players do need to get some real playing time before the...

GQ Comes To Gainesville

GQ Magazine is featuring a spread on college football’s most popular man. No, not Lou Holtz, but Tim Tebow is featured in the magazine’s latest edition. Word has it that they’re flying off of shelves in the south faster than Gen. Sherman burned through Atlanta. Yes ladies (and men), there is plenty of eye candy as Florida’s Superman poses shirtless for a few of the pics. We’re not too sure what Urban Meyerhas said to Tebow about this, and God...

Florida’s Secret Weapon?

Tim Tebow may have a little competition this season at the quarterback position. Ok, maybe I shouldn’t go that far, but Florida defensive back Joe Haden has been taking snaps from under center during Gator practices. Haden played quarterback at Friendly (MD) HS and set several state records for passing. He came to Florida in 2007 as an athlete but didn’t get the chance to compete for a quarterback spot. His athletic ability allowed him the rare opportunity to start at...

Meyer gets a New Deal

It looks like Urban Meyer has put to rest the question and rumor of whether or not he will leave Florida to coach at Notre Dame next season or in the near future. Meyer just signed a 6 year deal  worth approximately $4 million per year. He will remain head coach and under the new deal will also be the co-chairman of a university scholarship program in which he already committed $1 million during his tenure. The program was created by school president...

The Kiffin Saga Continues…..

First year Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin is in the news again for justifying negative off-season remarks he’s made about fellow conference coaches since being hired. Kiffin is a former Southern California offensive coordinator and Oakland Raiders head coach. He was hired by Tennessee after going just 5-15 with the Raiders. During SEC media days this Friday, Kiffin told reporters that he is not going to apologize for his previous comments even if it means that other conference coaches and fans...

25th Gator Arrested under Meyer

Senior LB Dustin Doe (6’0, 231lbs) has been suspended by the Gators for his most recent run-in with the law. Doe was arrested on Thursday for driving on a suspended license which is a first-degree misdemeanor. His license was suspended for failing to pay a traffic ticket on time. Doe ultimately paid the fine, but he was unaware that he was then required to pay a late fee in order to have his license reinstated. Without paying the reinstatement fee, the...

Finebaum’s Urban Myth

Urban Meyer, fresh off of his 2nd National Championship in 4 years is rumored to be considering leaving the University of Florida for Touchdown Jesus after next season. Meyer was a graduate assistant coach at Notre Dame from 1996-2000 and previoulsy stated that his dream job would be to coach the Fighting Irish. Alabama radio personality, Paul Finebaum, recently stoked the rumor fire earlier this month in his column for the Press-Register. Finebaum has been running his lips for...
