He’s back. Not even six months removed from live saving re-constructive throat surgery, USC’s Stafon Johnson will take the field for the first time since his injury in the 2010 Senior Bowl. Thanks to Matt Hinton over at Rivals, we have photographic evidence that Stafon Johnson is in better spirits after almost crushing himself to death from a freak weightlifting accident. Isn’t it good to see his teammates being supportive and isn’t even better to see Stafon up and about. Stafon Johnson Expected to Make Full Recovery

USC’s Stafon Johnson is out of surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. The RB underwent a 7 hour surgery procedure last night to repair a crushed neck and larynx sustained when 275lbs. of weight landed on his throat while bench pressing  yesterday. Paramedics gave Johnson a tracheotomy that helped him breathe.
