Stafon Johnson To Play In 2010 Senior Bowl
He’s back. Not even six months removed from live saving re-constructive throat surgery, USC’s Stafon Johnson will take the field for the first time since his injury in the 2010 Senior Bowl. Johnson suffered a horrific injury on October 14th, 2009, as the result of a weight lifting accident in which his larynx was crushed and his vocal chord was detached. Doctors said that if Johnson wasn’t in such peak physical shape, the accident could have killed him.
Johnson hasn’t played a down of football since the injury but was awarded a late Christmas gift in receiving medical clearance to play in the 2010 Senior Bowl (Jan. 30th,2010). Congratulations on your trip to the Senior Bowl Johnson, you deserve it.
