Oklahoma’s season hasn’t quite gone as planned. It’s only the fifth week of the season and they’ve been without their Heisman Trophy winner QB since week 1, their All-American TE’s season has been cut short because of injury, and now they’re going to be without their leading WR for possibly a month. The hits just keep coming for the Oklahoma Sooners. All Big XII tight end Jermaine Gresham’s career as a member of the Sooner football team is over. Gresham will undergo season ending arthroscopic surgery on his right knee that will take at least 5 months to heal. He injured his knee during practice two weeks ago and missed OU’s season opener loss against the BYU Cougars. According to the Oklahoman, Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray left Friday’s practice with an apparent left hamstring injury. The 6’1, 214 lb. junior has had an astounding career as a Sooner, but it has been injury plagued. Murray missed 3 games in 2007 after dislocating his kneecap, and he also missed 3 games in 2008 after suffering an injury to his hamstring.
