Nebraska Sued, Discriminates Against Disabled Parker

Richard Norton Jr. was denied access to a handicapped parking space during a Cornhuskers football game to make way for Nebraska donors and tailgaters.  As a result of this discriminatory practice, Norton sued the school seeking an injunction to prevent the school from continuing to enforce a policy that discriminates against disabled persons.   On October 30, 2010, Norton tried to park in a dedicated handicapped spot at Morrill Hall to see an art exhibit.  He was turned...

Video footage of Gary Pinkel’s failed sobriety test

Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel, who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Wednesday night, clearly had trouble with his sobriety test. As you can see from police video footage, Pinkel couldn’t recite the alphabet from “E” to “R” and refused to count backwards when asked. Though he was mostly cooperative with the officer, it wasn’t enough go get him a warning. It appears he misjudged his “two glasses of wine.” Missouri suspended Pinkel for Saturday’s game against Texas...

10 football programs that could benefit from conference realignment

The impending move of Texas A&M to the SEC ushers the captivating conference expansion saga into its second year. With the Pac 10 now the Pac 12, the Big 10 now a 12-team league and the Big 12 now a ten-team (soon to be nine-team) league, it’s blatantly obvious that further movement will eventually occur. The Big 10 flexes its muscles

Looking back before last season, the Big 10 failed miserably come post-season play. However, this season the Big 10 is looking very strong despite struggles from yester-year. The conference is starting to show that it is finally out of its slump and returning back to elite status. To the true fan, this turn-around...

Crane kicked Tiger

On Monday, the Missouri athletic department announced that LB Tyler Crane was booted off of the team for undisclosed disciplinary reasons. Crane did not comment on the news, but looking back on his career, it makes sense why he was dismissed from the team. During his Tiger tenure, he had limited playing time and only amassed 6 tackles in 22 games. For coach Pinkel and crew, this looks more like a dumping than anything else. With the NCAA harping...

Dr. Bob looks at Missouri/Nevada Game

Missouri (-7.0) 34 NEVADA 27 Over/Under Total: 61.0 09:00 PM (EST) Time Friday, Sep-25 Nevada is 0-2 now after losing 0-35 on opening day at Notre Dame and then 20-35 last week at Colorado State, but the Wolf Pack are a better team than what they’ve shown. The offense in particular is better than the 10 points per game that they’ve averaged so far, as they’ve averaged a solid 5.9 yards per play in those two games against two solid defensive teams. The...
