Cutest Girls On Campus

If there is one thing that sports fans like to see again, it is cute girls supporting their school. While a person can find quite a few attractive ladies on nearly every single campus in the United States, some schools are more blessed than others. Here is a look at three campuses who have become a hotbed for hot females in the stands and just around campus in general. Florida State The defending college football national champions obviously have...

“It’s Time” for ASU

The Arizona State Sun Devils spent over a year in production and design to rebrand ASU athletics. The Sun Devils in a partnership with Nike unveiled all their hard work yesterday to show the collegiate world their new uniforms and designs under the “It’s Time” campaign. Presumably, “It’s Time” refers to ASU’s time to actually start winning and becoming relevant in Pac-10 lore. From a football perspective, ASU has not won a national championship, has no Heisman winner, and...

NCAA says “NO” to Arizona State

Arizona State is coming off of a miraculous win over in-state rival Arizona. After blocking a PAT in double overtime and hoisting the Territorial Cup, the Sun Devils finished the regular season 6-6. According to the NCAA, 6 wins makes you automatically bowl eligible. However, there is one caveat to the rule. If you play two FCS teams (Div. 1-AA) you must have at least 7 wins. Looking at the Sun Devils’ schedule, the team played and easily won...

Erickson to remain ASU head coach in 2011

Arizona State’s Dennis Erickson will remain the head coach of the Sun Devils next season. When asked about Erickson’s future at ASU on Arizona’s 620 KTAR, school athletic director Lisa Love gave him a strong vote of confidence. “I still support Dennis Erickson you bet I do. You’ve got to allow someone to go through the entire process. I’m impressed, by the way, with the process, the recruiting roster, the level of talent and the stable of redshirts we...

Steven Threet finally gets the stage

ASU’s Steven Threet will take the field as starting quarterback for the first time in nearly two years when Arizona State opens their season against Portland State this Saturday. Threet has been somewhat of a gypsy throughout his collegiate football career. The 6’4, 240 lb., redshirt junior has played for three division 1 programs since graduating high school in 2006. He originally committed and enrolled at Georgia Tech before transferring to Michigan. Threet started in eight games for the Wolverines in 2008 but was less...

Notre Dame to stay true, for now

All throughout the web there is speculation regarding Notre Dame’s intentions as conference expansion talks loom. It’s no secret that the school, the boosters, and Coach Kelly want to disassociate themselves with any conference talk. The one telling fact that would indicate ND has no intentions of joining a conference is their future scheduling. Notre Dame and Miami are currently inking a 3 game deal. Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, and Brigham Young are playing a home-and-home series against the Irish in...

Blount is back

This may come to you as a shock, but the Pac-10 commissioner, Larry Scott, has just approved the request to reinstate Oregon’s LeGarrette Blount. After an immediate suspension following the Boise State punch heard around the (college football) world, Scott believes Blount has paid dearly for his actions and is now cleared to play to salvage any hopes of entering the NFL. I am “convinced LeGarrette Blount paid a significant and appropriate price for the mistakes he made on the...

Cal’s Best Heisman hope is out

Cal got a huge scare this weekend after RB Jahvid Best was knocked unconscious after his signature high-flying leap into the end zone against Oregon State. This is his second straight concussion after he suffered a mild concussion the previous week against Arizona State. After his leap, the junior was taken to an Oakland area hospital where he was diagnosed with a severe concussion, but fortunately CT scans and x-rays came back normal. Though he left the hospital within 24 hours, he will be sidelined...
