This may come to you as a shock, but the Pac-10 commissioner, Larry Scott, has just approved the request to reinstate Oregon’s LeGarrette Blount. After an immediate suspension following the Boise State punch heard around the (college football) world, Scott believes Blount has paid dearly for his actions and is now cleared to play to salvage any hopes of entering the NFL.
I am “convinced LeGarrette Blount paid a significant and appropriate price for the mistakes he made on the field, and that he has learned important lifelong lessons.”
This is perfect timing for the Ducks who just got embarrassed by Standford this past weekend. With the reinstatement of their star RB, Oregon is positioned to make a strong run for the conference title.
Since Blount’s eligibility is immediate, he should be suited up this Saturday as the Ducks host Pac-10 foe Arizona State. Rumor has it, Mills Lane will be on the sidelines to referee any sparring matches that resonate from foul play.
Good luck to you Mr. Blount, be sure to slip the jab.
