Jahvid Best suffers back-to-back concussions

Cal got a huge scare this weekend after RB Jahvid Best was knocked unconscious after his signature high-flying leap into the end zone against Oregon State. This is his second straight concussion after he suffered a mild concussion the previous week against Arizona State.

After his leap, the junior was taken to an Oakland area hospital where he was diagnosed with a severe concussion, but fortunately CT scans and x-rays came back normal. Though he left the hospital within 24 hours, he will be sidelined during this weeks match-up against Arizona and may be out for more games depending on his progress.

Cal ended up losing to Oregon State 31-14. They face #17 Arizona this Saturday at home. Here at The Matador we wish Best a full and speedy recovery.
