Syracuse won convincingly today over Akron 28-14. If you noticed on the stat sheet, there was no Mike Williams. Apparently, Williams was suspended from the game for violation of team rules. The Orange didn’t elaborate or offer any other details. For you remaining Syracuse fans, Williams is the top offensive threat for the Orange. He has amassed 712 yards and 6 TDs in 45 catches for the season.

Penn State received good news yesterday with LB Navorro Bowman getting the ok to play in this Saturday’s showdown with Iowa. He practiced with the team on Tuesday and participated in non-contact drills without a problem. Bowman led Penn State with 106 tackles last season and was selected as  a 1st team all Big-Ten LB. Linebacker U will be without one of the best LBs in the nation in Navorro Bowman. Bowman suffered a groin injury early in the season opener against Akron. For precautionary reasons, JoePa is going to sideline the stud LB and start redshirt sophomore Nathan Stupar. Penn State opened the season with an easy win over the Akron Zips. This game was sealed at half-time when PSU went into the locker room with a 31 point lead. Clark had an impressive performance going 29/40 for 353 yards and 1 TD.
