Greg Paulus must be a special person. Not only was he named the starting quarterback last week for the Orange, but the team just voted Paulus as one of four team captains. The Detroit Free Press is investigating whether or not the University of Michigan football team violated NCAA rules governing off-season team workouts. Numerous football players have come forward and told the Free Press, under conditions of anonymity, that training and practice sessions exceeded the NCAA limits. The Trojan’s took a big hit this weekend on offense. On Saturday, sure handed WR Ronald Johnson (Jr. 6’1, 185lbs.) broke his collarbone during a mock scrimmage game at the L.A. Coliseum. Johnson was slated to be the flanker and the #2 receiver behind All-American candidate Damian Williams. Pete Carroll is saying Johnson will be out for at least 6-8 weeks. Though the exact illness has not been determined, Alabama players are showing signs of H1N1 symptoms. The Tide are reporting that at least 10 players have been hit with this flu-like symptom.
