The Detroit Free Press is investigating whether or not the University of Michigan football team violated NCAA rules governing off-season team workouts. Numerous football players have come forward and told the Free Press, under conditions of anonymity, that training and practice sessions exceeded the NCAA limits. If this is the case, this would be a major NCAA infraction and could result in probation, loss of scholarships, and loss of practice time.
If these allegations prove to be true, which Rich Rodriguez is denying, this would leave a terrible scar on such a tradition rich program. Michigan football takes pride in never having been found guilty of any major NCAA violation.
In Rich Rodriguez’s inaugural season, he had the worst record in Michigan history, lost to Toledo, didn’t go bowling, and now, he may face NCAA violations.
Is Rich the right coach for this job?
