The word is out in Norman, Oklahoma. Sam Bradford’s Sooner career is over. The Heisman Trophy winner is opting for season-ending shoulder surgery. The surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama. Syracuse won convincingly today over Akron 28-14. If you noticed on the stat sheet, there was no Mike Williams. Apparently, Williams was suspended from the game for violation of team rules. The Orange didn’t elaborate or offer any other details. For you remaining Syracuse fans, Williams is the top offensive threat for the Orange. He has amassed 712 yards and 6 TDs in 45 catches for the season.
