Demps’ neck injury wont keep him out

5’8 sophomore RB Jeff Demps was seen around Gainesville, FL wearing a neck brace. Demps injured his neck during Saturday’s 29-19 win over Mississippi State. Demps is one of the stronger offensive players on the not so productive Florida offense this season as he is second on the team with 457 rushing yards with 5 TDs. Though he was injured in Saturday’s game, the neck brace isn’t enough to keep Demps down. Coach Urban Meyer expects him to suit...

Bradford made heroic returns to the college gridiron this season, but injuring his shoulder twice in the same season proved to be too much to overcome. Bradford contemplated surgery after the BYU injury, but decided to return and play again. After a successful outing against Baylor,...

Top WR suspended

Syracuse won convincingly today over Akron 28-14. If you noticed on the stat sheet, there was no Mike Williams. Apparently, Williams was suspended from the game for violation of team rules. The Orange didn’t elaborate or offer any other details. For you remaining Syracuse fans, Williams is the top offensive threat for the Orange. He has amassed 712 yards and 6 TDs in 45 catches for the season.

Penn State will win on Saturday

The Matador is even at 3-3 for his weekly picks. I know some of you were worried about last week’s game and it took a last second 50 yard TD pass to cover the spread, but that’s what makes gambling exciting. This week’s lock will prove to be another exciting match-up as I turn to the Big 10. The game is Penn State v. Michigan. The line is PSU -4.5. Now I know the Big House hasn’t been favorable...

Injury bug hits Texas Tech QBs

When Texas Tech’s Taylor Potts went down and suffered a concussion, the Red Raider faithful weren’t sure what they were going to get when QB Steven Sheffield stepped in under center. Sheffield, a walk-on QB, has done nothing but impress all his doubters by throwing for 724 yards and 8 TDs in the past two weeks against Kansas State and Nebraska. Unfortunately, Texas Tech may have to dig deeper in the roster and turn to redshirt freshman Seth Doege....
