Sam Bradford aims for the NFL

The word is out in Norman, Oklahoma. Sam Bradford’s Sooner career is over. The Heisman Trophy winner is opting for season-ending shoulder surgery.  The surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bradford made heroic returns to the college gridiron this season, but injuring his shoulder twice in the same season proved to be too much to overcome. Bradford contemplated surgery after the BYU injury, but decided to return and play again. After a successful outing against Baylor, he re-injured his shoulder against Texas which ended his college career.

Bradford’s legacy will always be remembered in Norman, especially his sophomore campaign when he amassed 4,720 passing yards and 50 touchdowns. This isn’t the last we will see of Bradford as he anticipates entering the NFL draft in April.
