Head coach Robbie Caldwell may have to update his resume after another disappointing loss in conference play. The Commodores now drop to 2-6 (1-4 in SEC play) after Arkansas took care of business this past weekend. To make matters worse, Caldwell will have to wrap up the rest of the season without his star running back Warren Norman. Norman dislocated his right wrist in the 2nd half of the teams 49-14 loss at Arkansas this past Saturday.
Coach Caldwell will miss his stud RB, “I feel really bad for Warren and I know he is just as disappointed.” Normans will undergo surgery on Tuesday and will have to eventually go under the knife to repair some knee damage as well.
The Commodores will miss the services of the 2009 SEC Freshman of the Year who leads the Commodores in rushing (459 yards on 77 carries) and rushing TDs (4) . He also has a solid set of hands with 11 catches for the season. Sophomore Zac Stacy will assume starting duties with freshman Wesley Tate and senior Kennard Reeves backing him up.
Vandy, who has lost three straight, hosts Florida this Saturday.
