OU's Jaz Reynolds suspended indefinitely for inappropriate tweets

Oklahoma wide receiver Jaz Reynolds took the Red River Rivalry trash talking and tweeting a bit too far on Tuesday. After a gunman opened fire at the University of Texas, Reynolds sent derogatory tweets on his twitter page to memorialize the event:

“Hey everyone in Austin, tx… kill yourself.”

Then he tweeted:

“Everyone in austin, tx disregard that last tweet… y’all will mess around n do it lmao.”

As result of his insensitive remarks, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops indefinitely suspended the sophomore from the team. Stoops was very disappointed with Reynolds’ action and his blatant disrespect for such a serious act of violence on campus. Prior to the tweets, Reynolds was already in hot water because of academic issues. He did not play in OU’s 27-24 victory over Air Force and did not play during the team’s trip to Cincinnati. In fact, Reynolds has seen zero action since the season started and as it stands, he will not see any for weeks to come.
