Masoli lands at Ole Miss

Former Oregon Duck QB Jeremiah Masoli has landed on his feet. This time, in Oxford, Mississippi. Masoli was dismissed from the Oregon Ducks following a couple of run-ins with the law earlier this summer and it looked as if his collegiate football playing days were going to end. However, Houston Nutt and the Ole Miss Rebels have come to his rescue giving Masoli a fresh start in the SEC.

Masoli visited Ole Miss this past weekend and informed the general public, via his website, that he’d be enrolling at Ole Miss this fall. Ole Miss and Masoli seem to be a great fit. The Rebels run a similar version of the spread offense that the QB ran at Oregon which definitely helps Ole Miss acclimate to life after Jevan Snead. If Masoli can keep his head on straight, the union between the two could yield forth great benefits to the Rebs in the SEC. If not, Houston Nutt will have been burned by yet another player that a team has dismissed.
