Leadership in Manhattan, Kansas recently took a big fall. Kansas State’s second term head coach Bill Snyder tore his ACL and MCL during spring practice on Thursday. The 70 year old ball coach was standing in the direct path of DT Prizzell Brown and OL Ethan Douglas when they were wrestling each other to the ground during a tackling drill. As a result, about 600 pounds came tumbling onto Snyder’s right knee causing the tear.
Snyder tried to keep his injury hush-hush, but unfortunately the internet rumor mill forced him to speak out publicly of the incident. Snyder is contemplating surgery. If he elects to go under the knife, fans in Manhattan will probably see Snyder coaching in one of the boxes á la Joe Paterno in 2008.
