Notre Dame and Maryland To Play at FedEx Field in 2011
Notre Dame and Maryland will meet on November 12, 2011, at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. As of last year, Notre Dame’s athletic department decided to play one home game a year away from South Bend. As a result, the Irish played Washington State in San Antonio last season at the Alamodome, and are scheduled to play at the new Yankee Stadium against Army next season.
While D.C. has a large number of Notre Dame alums, the University of Maryland is only 15 miles from FedEx field. Sadly, Irish fans will still probably outnumber Terrapin fans at the stadium on November 12th.
