For those of you who don’t follow Oregon State football, here is a surprising statistic that no one seems to be talking about. RB Jacquizz Rodgers has amassed 161.6 all-purpose yards/game with 15 TDs this season. He is one of the top RBs in the Pac-10. But the most impressive statistic is he has never fumbled a football in his 510 college football touches. This is a remarkable feat for the 5’7, 191lb RB.
When asked about this streak, “my coach (running backs Coach Reggie Davis) always preaches high and tight, just make sure you secure the ball, that’s the main thing.” “I make sure I keep it secure when I’m making cuts, or running through holes.”
Rodgers will try to keep his streak alive as the Beavers travel to Cal in a Pac-10 showdown this Saturday.
