It’s official, Texas Tech’s Taylor Potts will not dress for this Saturday’s game against Kansas State. Potts is still recovering from a concussion he sustained during the first half of last week’s New Mexico game. Potts never made it back and missed the entire second half.
Pegged to start under center will be QB Steven Sheffield. Sheffield never started a collegiate game, but he has mop-up duty experience. During the second half of the Lobos game, he threw for over 200 yards with 3 TDs.
Texas Tech has been dealing with suspensions, injured players, and inconsistent play, maybe a new QB will give the Red Raiders something to focus on and to take away from all the other distractions.
