The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Georgia RB Caleb King fractured his jaw and suffered a concussion in last Saturday’s loss to the LSU Tigers. At first, the severity of his injury was either not known or overlooked as King continued to play after taking the injury causing hit.
In fact, coach Mark Richt will play King this Saturday against Tennessee if he gets a medical clearance. Both Richt and Meyer (Meyer wants Tebow to play against LSU) are anxious and maybe overly zealous to play players prematurely all in the name of winning.
If King is a no-go, RB Richard Samuel will get the start this Saturday. Samuel is the team leader in rushing yards with King slightly behind.
