Mullen is trying to get his team back on track

Head Coach Dan Mullen just announced he is reinstating JUCO transfer DE Maurice Langston just in time for the road game against Vanderbilt. If you don’t recall, Langston was suspended for a February arrest for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana (one pound to be exact), with the intent to distribute.

Rather than a long drown out criminal suit, the State and Langston reached a plea agreement in which Langston was sentenced to five years probation for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

In the school’s eyes, Langston has done everything asked of him therefor they see that he is fit to play ball again. Langston will be on probation with the team, but he still gets to suit up and play.

One fact to note, the Bulldogs are already 0-1 in SEC play and the defense has given up 56 points in two games, perhaps this was an impetus for Mullen to get Langston back on the field.
