AD Mike Holder tells Jerry Jones to keep his money

The mantra “Greed is Good” does not apply to Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder. Apparently, Jerry Jones was pushing for the Oklahoma State v. Georgia match-up to be played at the new Cowboy Stadium. Holder turned it down along with an additional $6 million.

In commenting, Holder wanted his team to have a true home field advantage and opted to play the high profile game at Stillwater. He did it for the team, the fans, and for the school’s reputation. In retrospect, it proved to be a wise choice as OSU’s 24-10 victory solidifies the school’s right to be tops in the Big 12.

The Matador praises Holder for not reaching for Jones’ money in this economic climate.
