LB Marell Evans (#39) is Michigan's next defector
Michigan’s Rich Rodriguez is continuing to lose control of his team. Two more players have requested permission to transfer out of Michigan and to look into other football programs.
LB Marell Evans (Jr. 6’3, 221 lbs.) and DT Vince Helmuth (6’1, 261 lbs.), both have put in their request to leave the team and explore other options. Both athletes are defensive studs who will certainly be missed by the team. Evans played 16 games during his Wolverine career and had a solid game against Utah last season with 4 tackles. Helmuth, who switched from FB to DT, was anticipated to be a strong reserve player.
The players have yet to disclose why they are transferring and where they are transferring to, but it is probably safe to say that Rodriguez and his unique coaching style has contributed to the departure of these two players.
