Top 5 QBs:
1.       Tim Tebow  (Florida)
2.       Sam Bradford (Oklahoma)
3.       Colt McCoy (Texas)
4.       Casey Keenum (Houston)
5.       Zac Robinson (Oklahoma State)

This year’s arms race will be competitive from start to finish. The top three quarterbacks on this list each led their respective teams to BCS bowls last season and all three were in the Big Apple last December for the Heisman award ceremony.  Casey Keenum may be the best quarterback you’ve never heard of. Keenum, a junior, passed for 5,020 yards last season and threw 44 TDs with only 11 INTs. Keenum finished second last season in passing yards only behind Graham Harrell from Texas Tech. He thrived well under first year coach Kevin Sumlin and his potential has Cougar fans optimistic about the possibilities this fall.

Zac Robinson, a dark horse Heisman candidate, returns to Stillwater for his senior season campaign. Robinson and his Cowboys boast perhaps the best offensive skill position trio in college football this year. He’ll definitely miss the presence of Mackey finalist TE Brandon Pettigrew but WR Dez Bryant is arguably the best wideout entering the 2009 season and RB Kendall Hunter will keep the offense balanced. The stakes this season are high as either Tim Tebow or Sam Bradford can become the first player since Archie Griffin to win two Heisman awards. Colt McCoy will be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder after the Big XII debacle propelling Oklahoma over Texas in the conference standings and sending Stoop’s troops to the BCS championship game. This season will pick up right where it left off with the rivalries at the QB position and will provide no shortage of excitement.
