Dylan Favre is packing his bags, leaving the Mississippi State Bulldogs program.

Dylan Favre is transferring from Mississippi State. Head coach Dan Mullen confirmed the third-string quarterback’s intentions of transferring and stated there will be no restrictions on his transfer. “Dylan has decided to transfer, and we wish him the best,” Mullen said. “He has our full support in everything and did a great job for us during his time here.”

The nephew of legendary NFL QB Brett Favre, saw very limited playing time in four games as he sat third on the depth chart behind senior QB Chris Relf and sophomore QB Tyler Russell. The 5’10, 195-lbs redshirt freshman played sparingly this season completing just 13 of 26 passes for 119 yards and one TD (he also rushed for two TDs). Favre indicated to the school’s compliance department that he would transfer to a junior college so his eligibility to play would be immediate. It is believed he will be transferring to Pear River Community College.

This move comes at a bad time for the Bulldogs as they are preparing to face Wake Forest on December 30th in the Music City Bowl and will be down to just three scholarship quarterbacks.
