USC Removes Reggie Bush Jersey

The Trojans are doing everything possible to disassociate the program from their latest Heisman trophy winner who was primarily responsible for SC’s current sanctions. If you were at the Coliseum last night watching SC squeak past UVA, you would have seen that the #5 Bush jersey was removed from the peristyle steps prior to Lane Kiffin’s home opener. This was just the latest action by the school and AD to rid any memories of the great tailback. SC doesn’t...

Pat White’s Royal Move

Former West Virginia QB sensation Pat White was released by the Miami Dolphins this week. Though the NCAA rushing QB record holder (4,480 yards) has yet to find an NFL suitor, he is not giving up on playing professional ball. White will be temporarily trading the pigskin for the hardball. The triggerman is no stranger to baseball; he was a star pitcher and outfielder from Alabama’s Daphne High School. In 2004, he was sought out by several MLB teams...

Joe Montana knocks Rudy

Legendary Notre Dame QB Joe Montana showed his jealous side yesterday on the Dan Patrick Show presumably because a movie was never made about him and his success. Montana made it very clear, through constant chuckling, that he is not a fan of the inspirational movie Rudy. In his interview, he insinuated that Rudy Ruettiger was more of a joke rather than an inspiration ruining it for Dan Patrick and all the Rudy fans. Even when he said something...

Rev. Jones’ fiery message causes concern for the Gators

For those who will be in attendance for Saturday’s Florida game, please be advised that there will be tight security in light of the Rev. Terry Jones planning to burn copies of the Koran at his Gainesville church. This is Rev. Jones’ idiotic way of memorializing the 9th anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks-he dubbed the international burn the Koran day. The Rev. Jones has already received over 100 death threats, but that does not seem to bother the narrow...

Young not interested in Bush’s Heisman

With word spreading of Bush possibly being stripped of his 2005 Heisman Trophy and Coach Mack Brown advocating last week that the award should go to his former star QB, Vince Young’s mother is putting a stop to all the speculation. Felicia Young, an apparent PR rep for Vince, told Fox 26 in Houston that we don’t want it. “We’re not interested in having no honor and no glory out of somebody else they are trying to tear down, no,” Felicia...

Breaking News: Bush to return Heisman

Rumors are swirling that the Heisman Trophy Trust will strip Reggie Bush of the 2005 Heisman Trophy by the end of September. If this happens, Bush will be the first player ever to have the award taken away. The Trust has just concluded a three year investigation that led them to believe that the NCAA was correct in finding that Bush and USC were both in major violation of several NCAA rules. It is reported the Trust will not...

Broncos buck the Hokies

It was a BCS-like bowl atmosphere inside FedEx Field last night as the Halloween themed Hokies took the field in the Battle in the Capital. Unfortunately, this game was no treat for VaTech as they fell to the Broncos 33-30. A stadium littered with drunk and screaming Hokies fans, quickly quieted as Boise State recovered a fumbled snap, blocked a punt, and held VaTech scoreless in the 1st quarter while taking a commanding 17-0 lead. After Tech overcame the nervous jitters,...
