South Bend to lose the Hall

It looks like an historical landmark is going to pull away from South Bend, Indiana in the coming years. The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the College Football Hall of Fame is leaving the graces of South Bend and will find a new home in downtown Atlanta. Originally, it was anticipated that the Hall would attract at least 200,000 visitors per year. However, only a disappointing 65,000 would actually visit. The move to Atlanta (SEC  and ACC country) coupled...

Bradford is back?

For you Sooner faithful, it looks like Sam Bradford is back on the practice field. It appears he is taking a giant step forward in his recovery from his separated shoulder. Though he was very limited at practice, he was able to perform basic throwing drills from 5 to 10 yards. Coach Bob Stoops does not want to speak on a time table for Bradford’s return, but the Sooners favorable schedule may allow just enough time for Bradford to...

As The Matador reported earlier, Michael Floyd will miss the remainder of the season with a broken collar bone. Now there is question as to the extent of Jimmy Clausen’s toe injury. During the second quarter of Saturday’s game, Clausen took a bad sack and landed awkwardly on his right foot. Throughout the remainder of the game, he walked with a limp but was...

A Bull lost his legs

Matt Grothe will no longer lead the charge for the South Florida Bulls. During their total dominance over Charleston Southern (59-0), Grothe suffered an ACL tear. At first, Grothe’s injury was thought to be a knee sprain, but after further tests, his injury was diagnosed as an ACL tear. The loss really hurts the Bulls, Grothe is the leader of the squad and an irreplaceable player. With Gorthe going down, it will make winning the Big East title that...

Zebra trips CB, WR Scores

Not that Elon had a chance to beat Wake Forest today, but the Phoenix weren’t expecting the zebras to pitch in on behalf of the Demon Deacons.  In the second quarter of Wake’s 35-7 victory, WR Chris Givens was running a deep out with CB Karlos Sullivan keeping stride-for-stride with Givens. Then all of sudden, ooops, back judge Tommy Pace inadvertently tripped Sullivan. As Sullivan dropped, Givens stood wide-open and Riley Skinner hit Givens for a 54 yard touchdown...
