BYU wideout McKay Jacobson will miss 4-6 for the Cougars with a strained hamstring. Jacobson suffered the injury during warm-ups before BYU’s game against Utah State on Saturday. An MRI was done and confirmed that it was a high hamstring heal, which generally takes a while to heal. In Jacobson’s absence, BYU will look to Luke Ashworth, and O’Neill Chambers to bear the load at WR. In 4 games this season, Jacobson has 280 yards and 3 TDs.

True frosh QB Wynn named starter for Utes

The Utah Utes are handing over the offensive reigns to a true freshman. Coach Kyle Whittingham announced today that QB Jordan Wynn will be the starter for the Utes. Most eyes were on junior Corbin Louks to start with Terrance Cain (a JUCO transfer) as a back-up. As of now, Louks went from the slated started to #3 behind both Wynn and Cain. Coach Whittingham did state that the QB depth chart could change at anytime. Regardless, whoever ends up under center...
