The UMass football team got a little thinner today as 4 players (DB James Carven, DL Robert McLaughlin, LB Michael Mele, and DB Shane Viveiros) were all arrested on class B drug possession charges Thursday night in downtown Amherst. Bill Snyder, the architect of what some consider the greatest turnaround in college football, has given himself and his coaching staff a deadline to name K-State’s starting quarterback for the 2009 football season. Snyder wants to name a starting quarterback by August 29th, a week before the Wildcats’s season opener against UMass.
