A common trend in college football is to schedule neutral site games to generate income and to expand each school’s exposure. Notre Dame is scheduled to play at Cowboys Stadium and Yankee Stadium in the coming seasons. FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, will host Virginia Tech v. Boise State and Indiana v. The UMass football team got a little thinner today as 4 players (DB James Carven, DL Robert McLaughlin, LB Michael Mele, and DB Shane Viveiros) were all arrested on class B drug possession charges Thursday night in downtown Amherst. These star athletes, who clearly aren’t sprinters, were arrested behind 11 East Pleasant Street by bicycle patrol after they observed suspicious activity. Snyder Sets Deadline To Name QB

Bill Snyder, the architect of what some consider the greatest turnaround in college football, has given himself and his coaching staff a deadline to name K-State’s starting quarterback for the 2009 football season. Snyder wants to name a starting quarterback by August 29th, a week before the Wildcats’s season opener against UMass.
